Thanksgiving is just a few days
away. I look forward to
spending time with my family,
children and grandchildren.
In the spirit of the holiday, my
publisher is offering a gift.
Annorlunda Books is sponsoring a
giveaway of a print copy of my latest work, THE BURNING, on Goodreads. (The giveaway ends on November 25th.)

Happy
Thanksgiving, everyone! And now it’s time for me to start my shopping for the
holiday.
I love my Kindle Paperwhite for three reasons. It's lighter than hardbacks, and maybe even paperbacks. And my eyesight is such that I can no longer comfortably read paperbacks, but the Kindle lets me increase the font. And third, I can both purchase and get library books without leaving the house. Since December, I've almost been housebound, and being able to do all that on my Kindle has been a big blessing. That said, I still prefer paper for non-fiction so I can mark them up. Somehow using the Kindle highlight or note feature just isn't the same. Another issue--it may be that NY publishers are seeing a decline in ebook purchases, but they are not mentioning all the independent author's less expensive ebooks. I think NY purposely overpriced ebooks so they can sell more paper. I have never paid more than $10 for a NY ebook, and done that only three or four times in the last couple of years.
