Perfect Presents for the Holidays by Jacqueline Seewald

The holidays are a great time to gift friends, family or yourself with books to read. With people going on vacation, many individuals enjoy relaxing with a good book. And there certainly are a lot of them being published! You can find books to suit every age and taste whether fiction or nonfiction.

I’m going to recommend my own most recent book to readers and hope you’ll forgive the commercial message. STACY’S SONG from Clean Reads Press is a perfect YA coming-of–age/romance for the holidays. The novel has positive family values and ends at Christmas on an inspiring, uplifting note. Friends, mothers, aunts, grandmothers should consider gifting this novel to teenage girls. Available in ALL ebook formats.

Check out the great reviews on Amazon!

Okay, now here’s your opportunity to share the books you think will make for good holiday reading. Feel free to mention books you’ve recently published if you’re an author, books you have on your wish list or recently read and enjoyed as a reader. Comments/suggestions are welcome here to share.

  1. What a lovely last minute whirl before the holidays, Jackie :) I not only enjoy your books, but love the covers :) And, since the offer was made, below is the link to Christmas on the Strand, my holiday piece that is the prequel for the Southern Breezes series. All are set in Galveston, so for those who have never been, or dream of returning, curl up and have a read :)

  2. A beautiful tree in your photo, Jacquie! And of course the lovely covers on your books. We are simply putting lights on our old ficus tree, and then await the onrush of 20 family members for Cmas dinner and gifts! In fact I must start cooking right now!Happy Christmas to you and yours!

  3. Thank you for this opportunity Jacqueline! "Stacy's Song" sounds like a great read for teenage girls.
Another great read with a coming-of-age slant is "Finding Sofa". An inspirational story of a young teenage girl trying to make sense of her feelings and emotions. She learns that she has guidance she can tune in to at anytime and in the end she surprises herself with what she can accomplish and realizes how awesome she really is. I invite you to read and enjoy!

  4. That's a beautiful cover and the story sounds lovely!
My two favorite Christmas stories are A Christmas Carol and Connie Willis's novella, All Seated on the Ground.
I have two Christmas stories I've published myself. Both were originally print published but I've gotten rights back to them.
A Vampire's Christmas Carol is pretty much what it sounds like, an intense but sweet Christmas novella about a dying vampire and the young woman stranded at his front door on Christmas Eve. Blue December is a short contemporary Christmas novel that combines romance with mystery.

  6. Jacquie, aside from the wonderful story found in "Stacy's Song", the cover is so lovely that it makes one want to fall inside and enjoy the beautiful words.
I have published "The Magic of Christmas" which contains five stories of discovery, hope and love. The tales are written to make the reader smile, laugh, maybe shed a tear of two and marvel at the wonders of life. (available to Amazon.com/digital and print formats).
    Merry Christmas to ALL!!

  8. Jacquie,
I recently moved and haven't had as much time to read as I'd like but, last night, I started re-reading "All Through the Night" by Mary Higgins Clark.
    Merry Christmas!

  9. We're taking it very slow this Christmas, enjoying the unseasonably warm weather and time to be with friends. Three of my books are set in a tropical resort and are just perfect for people struggling with a typical North American winter--snow, ice, cold. You can settle into a warm, comfy chair and read about beaches and palm trees. susansblogbits.blogspot.com

Jacquie and everyone else, Happy Holidays, and good health to all your family.

  10. For teens and pre-teens my YA anti-bully book EAGLEBAIT. For "new adult" readers, my Gothic/cozy A RED,RED ROSE and BENEATH THE STONES. Also, I love Jacqui's clean, values-study YA books (Reading Stacy's Song now). Merry Christmas to all!

  11. Love the tree! And the cover.

It's a few years old, but my first Jesse Damon Crime Novel, Steeled for Murder, started as a Christmas story (it takes place in December, over Christmas time) and grew into a novel that incorporates a lot of Christmas spirit.

Here's the link on Amazon, and it's only $2.99 in e-book.

  13. Thank you for this opportunity!
I wrote and published three new novels in the last 15 months or so, to bring my novel count to seven. How to Disappear, The White Lady of Marsaxlokk, and A Funeral in Fiesole all make excellent holiday reading from an author whose first one came out in 2005, and is still one of my bestsellers. Having lost my last publisher in 2012, I am now a fully independent author. See all my titles here:
